SHINING 3D, known for innovative 3D digitizing technologies, recently introduced the FreeScan Trio at Formnext, the leading trade fair for additive manufacturing. This expands the company’s high-quality portfolio of 3D scanning solutions and can be seen at the booth in Hall 12.1 E21.
Following the successful launch of the FreeScan Combo and the recent ISO:17025 certification, the FreeScan Trio defines new standards in metrology-grade 3D scanning technology. Particularly noteworthy are its marker-free scanning capability, supported by a 98-laser line mode, and a triple camera system with 5 megapixels each. The technology saves a considerable amount of time during preparation, especially for large objects, as markers are no longer required.
The scanner is characterized by a capture rate of 3,010,000 points per second, making it the fastest hand-held scanner in its class. Complemented by a large field of view of 650 by 580 millimeters, it collects more data in fewer passes.
In addition to the 98-laser line mode, the FreeScan Trio offers further modes: a single line mode, one with 7 parallel lines and one with 26 crossed lines. This variety enables use in a wide range of industries and underlines the characteristic versatility of SHINING 3D products. With markers, these modes achieve an accuracy of up to 0.02 mm and a volumetric accuracy of up to 0.02 mm + 0.03mm/m.
Another feature is the photogrammetry mode, which works with SHINING 3D’s handy magnetic scale and eliminates the need for additional coded targets. This mode achieves a volumetric accuracy of 0.02mm + 0.015mm/m.
With the FreeScan Trio, SHINING 3D sets new standards in handheld 3D scanning and once again proves its leadership in 3D digitizing technology.
