Revopoint reaches over 1 million for 3D scanner on Kickstarter in just a few hours

Yesterday, 3D scanner specialist Revopoint presented its new device MIRACO on the crowdfunding platform Kikstarter. In less than 24 hours, the new scanner has reached over 1400 backers and funding of over 1.3 million.

The Revopoint MIRACO is the company’s first standalone 3D scanner. Users do not need to have a smartphone or computer connected for the scanning process. Thus, according to the manufacturer, one is also more mobile with the device.

The scanner has a single-frame accuracy of 0.05 mm at 100 mm for capturing fine details and 0.5 mm at 1000 mm for quickly capturing shape data. The MIRACO is powered by an 8-core 2.8 GHz processor, 256 GB hard drive, 6-inch 2K AMOLED touchscreen and either 16 GB RAM (up to 5,000 captured frames) or 32 GB RAM (up to 10,000 captured frames) depending on the version. The integrated 5,000 mAh battery can be used for up to two hours of scanning. The battery can be charged to 85% in just 30 minutes with the 50W fast charger.

Pricing on Kickstarter starts at 4. The regular price for the scanner is $1299, according to the manufacturer. Delivery is listed as December 2023.
