Following the launch of Thingiverse Apps and opening their API to developers, Makerbot’s 3D model platform has already integrated a number of apps, including 3D Print with 3D Hubs, Customizer and MakePrintable, with 3D Slash joining them as latest app.
3D Slash allows to easily customise or create 3D models and can now be accessed directly through Thingiverse. A set of tools enables users to build or modify 3D designs by adding or subtracting cubes. This is a fun and easy approach for 3D modelling, also giving non-experts in CAD software the chance to create unique designs.
Sylvain Huet, founder and CEO of 3D Slash, said: “We were very excited to work on this first STL customizer app that takes advantage of the new Thingiverse Developer Program. It will allow all users of Thingiverse to express their creativity on the many available designs, and to enter the new world of co-creation.”
