The German 3D printing specialist APWORKS has purchased a new industrial 3D printer from the Chinese manufacturer Farsoon. According to APWORKS, the system meets the requirements for series production.
The FS422M-4 printing system uses four lasers with a build chamber size of 425 x 425 x 550 millimeters. APWORKS, developer of the special metal 3D printing material Scalmalloy, relies on the performance and reliability of the Farsoon system.
After extensive testing, the company decided to make the investment, explains APWORKS Managing Director Jon Meyer. The total cost of ownership of the Farsoon printer enables economical series production of metal components using 3D printing. This expands the customer’s range of applications.
According to Farsoon Europe, the cooperation stands for long-term collaboration in the areas of innovation, scaling and process optimization. It is aimed in particular at sustainable series production for the aviation industry.
