Prirevo showcases MAS Maschinen- und Anlagenbau Schulz machines perfectly with SLS

The renowned plastic machinery manufacturer MAS Maschinen- und Anlagenbau Schulz (MAS) offers economically and ecologically efficient plant solutions that make a valuable contribution to resource-saving circular economy. To showcase its upcycling plants at the K-Trade Fair, MAS commissioned the Upper Austrian 3D specialist Prirevo with the 3D printing of two impressive models.

The challenges faced by an industrial machinery manufacturer are diverse. The highest technical requirements must be met by the engineers, while large machines present challenges for the sales and marketing staff in terms of optimal presentation. To give customers at least a screen-based impression of the machines’ performance, many companies rely on digital renderings. The innovative plastic machinery manufacturer MAS has come up with something special for this year’s K-Trade Fair and commissioned the Upper Austrian 3D specialist Prirevo to create two accurate physical models.

High-quality machine models from the 3D printer

Prirevo is a brand-independent system and service provider for additive manufacturing technologies based in Ried im Traunkreis (Austria). The company offers a comprehensive service offering with its wide range of additive manufacturing technologies, which covers the entire digital value chain thanks to a complete digital factory – from the first idea to the final finishing.

In order to produce the accurate models, the MAS machines were fully digitally redrawn by the Prirevo experts and then optimized and prepared for 3D printing. After approval by the customer, the models were printed with the modern Formlabs Fuse1 SLS 3D printer in PA12. The system is particularly suitable for producing complex geometries and does so without support material, which improves surface quality. After the printing process, the components were cleaned, bonded, and painted with specified RAL colors in the in-house paint shop.

The impressive results in the size of 1200x800mm each (or two euro pallets) provide a detailed and true-to-scale representation of the real machines and served not only as a presentation model at the K-Fair, but also as an eye-catcher that attracted many customers to the booth.

After the trade fair, the models were displayed in a showcase in the reception area of MAS Maschinen- und Anlagenbau Schulz and can be admired by visitors.

“Thanks to these detailed models, we were able to present our products optimally and attract attention to ourselves. We look forward to personally showing you these models at our location,” says Jürgen Morosz, Area Sales Manager at MAS.

MAS Maschinen- und Anlagenbau Schulz was impressed by Prirevo’s strict focus on quality, user benefit and on-site service. A concept that, in addition to MAS, a number of other satisfied customers have relied on for years and for which Prirevo alone manufactured more than 8,000 components in 2021.
