The YouTube channel Slant 3D demonstrates in a recent video how 3D printing enables the production of individualized iPhone charging stations with MagSafe support.
An important aspect in the design of these charging stations is the consideration of printability. Overhangs should be avoided and adhesion to the print bed should be optimized. One solution is conical recesses on the underside, which ensure both stability and easy removal from the print bed.
The versatility of 3D printing is also reflected in the choice of materials. In addition to standard filaments, wood-filled PLAs can be used, for example, which offer a special look and feel. Metallic-looking surfaces are also possible, which makes the products even more attractive.
Slant 3D also offers the model as a download. This means that anyone can print out the charging station.
