A maker with the username 3DPrintingEnthusiast has developed a functional miniature printing press that can be largely manufactured using 3D printing. This project combines Johannes Gutenberg’s 15th century invention with the possibilities of additive manufacturing.
The compact printing press, which fits on a desk, consists mainly of 3D-printed components. The bed, frame, paper holder and clamps are made entirely from plastic. However, some additional, non-printable materials are required for the print carriage and the colour balls.
The maker has provided detailed instructions on the Instructable portal. He also offers all 3D models for 3D printing free of charge.
